Lockwood Haulage heads in the right direction with A-Safe

Lockwood Haulage specialise in a variety of haulage solutions including third party logistics. Utilising four large warehouse facilities with efficient 'pick and pack' operations, they can take your product and distribute it throughout the UK and into Europe.

In their busy warehouse in Ambergate, Derbyshire there is a high volume of FLT traffic moving palettes around and, on occasion, some trucks were staying out of line both impacting and damaging the building’s wall cladding.  To combat this, the company called in A-Safe to help.

A-Safe offers a full solution-based service to safely segregate pedestrians, traffic and infrastructure.  The answer was to install Ground Level Traffic Barriers to resolve the issue.

Hit an A-Safe barrier with a vehicle and their inherent strength and structural memory allow them to buckle on impact, dissipating impact forces and then springing back to the original causing minimal damage to the barrier, floor and vehicles and in Lockwood’s’ case, their warehouse walls and errant FLTs. The bright yellow and black safety barriers are highly visible and both reflect and compliment the similar corporate colours of the Lockwood fleet of over 75 vehicles.

Wayne Evans for Lockwood’s said: “Damage has been greatly reduced and I am impressed with what it does. I cannot foresee any further problems. Wayne went on to enthuse: “We have had a good experience with A-Safe, reducing damage to our internal walls.  It does the job it is meant to do”
