A-Safe Armco Barrier Single Rail

This is the most used of the two products in the A-Safe Armco Barrier range. The product is a fully modular system assembled from end and mid post units and single 200mm OD horizontal rails. For short barrier lengths less than 1350mm the product is supplied as a single pre-assembled fixed unit, having two post for lengths between 750mm up to 1350mm and a sinle post for lengths less than 750mm.

As standard the product post centres are 1600mm but this cab be varied between 850 - 2000mm to allow sections to be assembled to any required length.

The product is available in two different overall height versions. 400mm with an impact height centre of 400mm and 560mm with an impact height centre of 460mm. Both height versions can be fitted with bollard end post assemblies for improved impact protection at the ends of a barrier section and also to allow the barrier to change direction without leaving barrier ends exposed to impacts.

A-Safe Single Rail Armco Barrier is a highly versatile product that can be used for many different applications in a variety of different environments.

A-Safe Single Rail Armco Barriers are the perfect way to prevent and avoid unnecessary damage from vehicles to walls, building supports, valuable machinery and vulnerable equipment. They are also ideal for preventing vehicles from straying from their designated traffic routes.

The 400mm overall height version Low Level Traffic Armco Barrier has a low impact centre height, making it ideal for use in areas where medium size counter-balance trucks with standard wheel arches are being operated.

The higher level 560mm overall height version has a higher impact height to suit trucks with higher level wheel arches. The 460mm impact height of this version corresponds to the currently accepted height for vehicle bumpers making it suitable for use in areas where cars and light commercial vehicles may be present.

  • Low Level Armco Barrier has been tested to withstand an impact force of 152kn as required by BS6399.
  • Over a 5 year period the carbon footprint of 100m of A-Safe Armco barrier is only 20% of the carbon footprint of the same length of an equivalent metal Armco barrier.
