A-SAFE supports National Forklift Safety Day 2024 with inspiring preventative message

A-SAFE supported UKMHA's PREVENT theme of the six-month National Forklift Safety Day campaign, speaking to workplace safety campaigner Lisa Ramos.

Chosen by UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA) to support their PREVENT theme of the six-month National Forklift Safety Day campaign, we work with Lisa Ramos to tell her story.

National Forklift Safety Day, organised annually by the, has expanded in 2024 to provide a deeper focus on forklift safety. Rather than concentrating activities on a single day, the campaign spans six months, exploring seven critical stages of the forklift incident cycle. Each month highlights a different stage, offering businesses the opportunity to continuously improve their safety practices and embed long-term change.

Lisa Ramos lost her leg in a preventable accident at work. As a supporter of A-SAFE, Lisa also recently presented at a UKWA event, sponsored by A-SAFE, and held at our commercial centre.
