Traffic separation for Bosch technology

Bosch Group is a leading global supplier of technologies and services across automotive, industrial, consumer goods and building. In the UK, Bosch operates 41 locations and has over 5,300 employees.

SITUATION

The team at Bosch needed to ensure the safety of employees in their UK warehousing facility by separating pedestrian traffic flow from busy truck ways with a distinct, high performing and eye-catching solution. The site previously had steel guardrails installed, but was continually experiencing constant damage to concrete, causing expensive and frequent repair costs. In addition, personnel were apprehensive of the dangerous sharp edges steel guardrails created.

SOLUTION

A-SAFE manufactured, supplied and installed 3.5 metres of Pedestrian Guardrail for Bosch to trial, and after experiencing the product’s benefits, Bosch installed Double Traffic and Single Traffic+ Guardrails to shield and segregate traffic throughout the site, safeguarding people and vehicles through defined, designated traffic routes.

Following the installation, Bosch’s Warehouse Manager explained: “We have had no reported instances of serious impact damage and no work has been required on the guardrails. We are pleased knowing that the solutions are doing their job.”
